FreedomRust is a project aiming at building a community for Rust players on Linux. Our goal is to operate an old-school hobbyist server and show that there is a demand for more Linux-enabled servers.
The reality is that any good Rust server requires active moderation, even with EAC. The tools server owners use to combat cheating can be used on non-EAC servers just the same. It's less about automatic cheat detection and more about creating a good community with active administrators. We don't think there's any reason to believe this problem would be any worse on Linux-enabled moderated servers.
